About The Adamsville Church of Christ

Christians at the Adamsville Church of Christ believe in the God of the Bible. The Bible, the inspired word of God (2 Timothy 3:16-17), is our only guide in what is taught and practiced (John 12:48). The Church of Christ in the 21st century is not a denomination, but a direct continuation of the Lord's church established in the 1st century on the Day of Pentecost (Acts 2:41,47). Just as people in the first century became Christians upon obeying the Gospel of Jesus Christ, we at Adamsville are Christians only by obedience to the same gospel. Obedience to Christ's gospel consists of the following steps:

Just as New Testament people became Christians and were added to Christ's church by obeying these steps (Acts 2:47), people today can do the same, and belong to the same church.
